I purchased Benq Widescreen LCD from Newegg on the 7th and submitted the $40.00 rebate the very next day. Now on their online status said that I'm not qualify for the rebate because The receipt I submitted was dated after the qualifying period for this
promotion.
I checked and checked my receipt and it still said the 7th which is the order date.
The invoice was sent to me on the 9th and I believe whover verify the rebate look at that date instead of the purchase date. I emailed them and also attached copy of my rebate again to that the rebate was good and all the reply I got was the same.
According to their status online my rebate was not good because I purchased it after the 8th. It looks like they didn't even open the attach file that I sent them. All they did was to look at the status online and tell me that it's invalid. I could have done that same thing.

They are obviously having a whole bunch of idots working there at the rebate center.
If this is some scam they're doing then I'm not doing business with them again.
I must have spend over 10K in the past couple years buying stuff from them and if this is their way of making extra money then I need to report them.

Call them, I've received all of my newegg rebates. The purchase date is what matters, and you should get your rebate

How is this a "newegg scam"?? So there was a screwup with one particular rebate submission. Oh heavens no, it's another sign of the approaching end of the world.....

Greetings Everyone!

Nickyct, if you'd like, please feel free to PM us your Sales Order Number (SO#). We'd appreciate hearing from you so that we can investigate your rebate issue and hopefully resolve this matter to your satisfaction.

Also, about rebates, most are processed by invoice date, which is usually the date in which your packages are shipped and an invoice generated, as opposed to the order date. But, some are processed differently.

If you guys/gals ever need some help, let us know. We're ust a PM away.

Stop being such a tool and simply call them. They have a phone number for a reason, and they'll fix it up quick, never had a problem with their CS.

That's scary. I know I won't be ordering rebated items from Newegg if that's the case.

Yeah, just think about it. Suppose there's an item that has a rebate good through 7/31. You see it and order on 7/27 (Thurs). They take 2 business days (Fri & Mon) to process and then mail it out on the next day - that happens to be Aug 1 and you've just missed the rebate even though you ordered 5 days before the end of the rebate period.
