I couldn't find an AXIA 1ghz 200 mhz CPU on their site for $90. it didn't state which stepping. How can you be sure you'll get an AXIA?

No gaurantee for Axia at Newegg but many have reported that they got Axia. Heard some also got other stepping as well.

i think as more and more people order from them they will clean out the stock and teh newer stock will be more likely to be newer AXIA CPUs ehehe. Of course there is never a guarantee. With the price of AMD CPUs these days I don't even see a need to overclock. Default speed goes a long way already.

$40 for an extra 200mhz. Nah, I don't need all that power.
That motherboard is a nice deal though.

I agree that the epox mobo is a great deal at $125, but it used to be $135 w/ free shipping...later "lowered" to $130 w/ $5 shipping, and now $125 w/ $10 shipping. No real price drop here, just paying more for shipping and less for the board. I dont care because $135 for this board is great and I'll be buying one in a few weeks. What's not to love about Newegg except fo those shipping games they play? :)

Of all of the companies I have dealt with on the net (trust me, there's been a lot), Newegg has clearly been the best one in my opinion. :)

newegg thinks its customers are dumb. im am outraged by their rediculous shipping policies. how can they charge 10+ for each item??? if one was to buy parts to build an entire system (like i am in the market to now) shipping costs $100+ and i can tell you this buy using their shipping calculator? they advertise fedex saver?? please, its more like fedex fraud. so dont be fooled by their low prices. it evens out with shipping.

About the shipping....I just bought a 12x10x32 and a DVD unit and they only charged me a total of $10 so I have no complaints. Just watch for the free shipping items. Overall I think you are still ahead compared to the vast majority of retailers. An unlike some they ship within 24 hours.

Not surprising considering everyone else did a few days ago... their shipping is LUDICROUS! $10+ per item is a total ripoff.

Even with shipping, I find their prices come out ahead against most e-tailers. And their reputation with customers is certainly something to take into consideration.

I didnt mean to make a big deal over their shipping policy in my previous post. Newegg is a great company. For individual parts, their shipping rates are ridiculous, but the more items you buy, the less shipping is. Try it...Build a complete system and add up the individual shipping costs. Then put all the parts in the shopping cart, and click calculate shipping. It will be considerably less than all the parts' shipping costs added together. So if you are worried about $5 shipping on a $1 cable or something just buy more than 1 part at a time. See Newegg isnt all that bad after all :)

Will I just ordered all the components to build a system minus case and monitor and shipping was $34.00 on $700+ in merchandise. Go figure? But I do loove newegg to deal with.

Yeah, Newegg's shipping prices are comparable to just about anybody elses I think, on multiple items. All their shipping prices are listed for individual items. If you stack multiple items in your cart, the total shipping is less than the advertised shipping charge on a piece by piece basis.

I do not understand the criticism of Newegg's shipping costs. I ordered the following today:

CPU AMD|DURON 850 (Qty=1,Price=54.00)
CDRW 12X10X32|LITE-ON LTR-1210B OEM (Qty=3,Price=279.00)
DVD|TOSHIBA 16X SD-M1502 OEM (Qty=3,Price=165.00)
*MB VIA KT-133A|6P1I4D1A 8KTA3 EPOX (Qty=1,Price=92.00)
FD 1.44MB|MITSUMI #D359M3 (Qty=5,Price=45.00)
Subtotal:635.00
TAX:.00
Shipping and Handling Charge$28.98

That's less than 5% cost for shipping 13 items. IMHO that's more than an acceptable cost of doing business from a reputable and timely vendor.

all i know is when i put like 10 items in my cart to build a new computer, the try to dick me with a 110 shipping charge. it doesnt get chea[er the more youbuy. if you buy 10 items with 10$ shipping on each, they charge you.
