Newegg OEM CPU Packaging question. And Storage question

I bought an AMD Turion and the mother board came defective. I just wanted to know how good and static free are those OEM CPU containers that newegg ships with OEM CPU's.
I need to hold it for about 14 day max is that a good place to leave it. And also if there is shipping popcorn on top of the case can the static from the popcorn transfer into the plastic were the CPU is being held in. Its like in a Plastic container and there 2 layers of foam.

The casing the cpu comes in is more than sufficient for storage.

the plastic container is more than enough

just dont hit it or drop it

Hi, The package for the CPU should be of conductive material. If so, there would be no danger from the Popcorn. Jim
