Newegg now selling T40

I'm guessing those are refurbs... someone correct me if you know better. If they are, this is about the same price as buying direct from IBM.

From the site:
IBM ThinkPad T40 Notebook w/ 1.5 GHz Intel® Pentium 4-M Centrino Processor, Model 237382U - Retail

They got the CPU wrong! There's no such thing as a Pentium 4-M Centrino CPU!!! It's a fair machine, but it needs a DVD/CD_RW combo drive and the new IBM a/b/g wireless.

What are you saying exactly? What part of the Pentium 4-M Cetrino do you not agree with?

Huh? I hope that is not what he means. Otherwise you would both be mistaken. Mobile Pentium 4's are designated by the "M". What did you think the M meant?

Banias is a PIII derivative. But what does that have to do with the price of beans in China?

Seriously guys... Cmon. I'm not sure where you are getting your info from... but it's not reliable.

A pentium 4m is NOT the same a Pentium M

Pentium M

I was going to edit my post and ask if there was something I was missing, but you posted to quick. Thanks for the clarification!!

Well the T40 on there is only XGA screen and 256MB Ram only a 40G HD and the T30 has 60G HD SXGA screen and 512MB Ram so i guess those things bring the T40 down in price and the T30 Up.
