Almost did not catch it and I nearly processed the order.

Too bad, I really do like Newegg.

But I also like googlegear or zipzoomfly or whatever they are calling themselves now.

They seem to have opened a location in NJ to better serve their customers. :(

No wonder the latest order I made at Newegg (last week) came from NJ.

Newegg's new warehouse in NJ is certainly good news for people on the east coast.
People in California have been able to get their orders quickly -- next day in some cases.
With their new warehouse on the east coast, let's hope my order arrive faster than 4 business days.

Does newegg allow you to pickup orders from their warehouse? That would make having to pay tax easier to take :)

Look on the bright side, new egg stuff now is 1 business day away from me.

I guess paying 6% more is worth that?

I don't live in NJ, so I don't have to pay tax, but I do think this is a good move on Newegg's part. One of the biggest downsides of living on the east coast was that all the good computer stores are in CA :|

Even though I usually get 2 day service with FedEx Saver from Newegg, this is nice. I've noticed that about 1/2 of my orders from over the summer shipped from NJ.

I live in eastern PA, so this is good news to me, faster shipping, and still no tax. :)

This stink. I can't ship to NY or NJ because of tax. I guess I'm not ordering from Newegg anymore.
