30 January 2009 DHL ends domestic pick up and delivery service in the United States, effectively leaving UPS and FedEx as the two major express parcel delivery companies in the United States[16] Limited domestic service is still available from DHL, provided that the packages are tendered to USPS for local delivery. NewEgg is one such company that uses this option as of May 10, 2011.

last week my order from newegg arrived a day late. on the scheduled day, ups ding-dong-ditched me without leaving my package or a note. the status was updated as not home. i called, got a case number, and the next day the driver left the $1000+ package at my door. i opened the door just in time to see him hammer down and disappear in a cloud of dust.

my usual driver is a nice lady, not this asshole that loads a truck and drives a route to not deliver stuff

it's only for really small items that they use DHL.

i bought a usb thumb drive and more recently some ram - both egg saver, both DHL, both took the scenic route to my doorstep :p

i also bought some speakers w/ eggsaver shipping. those arrived 2-3 days UPS as expected.

I don't think so......

Last weekend I've received a couple e-mails, that was thinking - to laugh or to cry.
It's about LCD TV I've bought from the in march of this year. When I received TV, there was a hole in a package, but I accepted it and send an e-mail to newegg:

Message: Today I've delivered item I've purchased on saturday, 3/24, LCD TV LG 42LD550 R. However, side of package/carton have a hole. It looks like hole is on the side of the screen. There's white protection sheet, but it's not ripped and I can't tell right now, how it is. I'll check at home, if everything is ok and working and no damages on TV. If there's problem, damages, I'll have to return for replacement. Thanks, Gintaras

TV was and is great, no problems, I'm very happy with...
Dunno, what made them to send these messages - both received ~9 months later from 2 different newegg customer reps in same day - 12/11:

I had several items shipped "EggSaver", all came next day, newegg all items I've ordered, ships from New Jersey. If ordered before 2-3pm, package ALWAYS(ALWAYS !!!) came to my address next day, how it supposed to be via UPS. What UPS does without any logic - their Next Day shipping. Ship anything to the address, let's say, across the street, package goes first to Lexington, KY and next day morning it would be delivered to the addres, even it's across the street from "shipping from to:" address.
At work, we do have a UPS Map - how long it takes to be shipped by UPS ground.
In 13 years working for co. and participating in shipping, I don't ever remember a case, when UPS have shipped anything to some other state as on the address label. But we had problems with DHL - that's why our shipping mngr. dropped services of DHL. We don't use DHL anymore. And I didn't hear any problems about Fedex - which we do use alot.
Don't have an idea, why newegg, which had very good, exellent/perfect reputation for shipping items, could choose such lousy - DHL. I was suggesting newegg to my friend, people I know - about their prices and how good shipping is. Well, not anymore...Even if I will want to order from newegg, before hitting "submit order" buton, I'll go to their "live chat" to ask, how item I want to order will be shipped. If I would hear an answer: "UPS", I would continue, if answer would be: "we don't know, DHL, USPS" - i'm done - forget about order.

USPS? they're closing many branches - for good. Who needs people, who don't want to work but like to get paid.
Economy doing pretty good, no jobless people...why should I work - that's USPS, DHL logic. Maybe some from newegg want to join them?

If you're paying for shipping that is advertised as taking up to 7 days don't start whining until it takes more than 7 days. If you want it to get there faster pay for it to get there faster.

Does not seem, that you're able to read, from beginning of tread:

Newegg in known for great shipping, items delivery. All I know, they've used either UPS or USPS.
Everything I've ordered befor 2 p.m. - I would receive next business day.

Should I add, that most items I've ordered previously, were "Free Shipping"...

It doesn't seem that you're able to understand the advertised shipping time on their website.

Newegg doesn't state their shipping choice: On my lates order, it was just Egg Saver (4-7 Days), which it usually was UPS Ground, and from NJ to NY - one business day. Other shipping options were while placing order(Free Shipping): UPS 3 DAYS, and all items will come to me in one day.

It doesn't matter how it used to come in a single day. They advertise 4-7 days and as long as it comes inside 7 you have no reason to complain. They did exactly what they claimed they were going to do. If you want to be guaranteed to get the item sooner you need to pay for a more expensive shipping method.

Also, you're surprised that shipping is slower at this time of year? All the shipping companies are swamped because of the holidays.

Egg Saver is whatever they want
if you pick an option that says UPS, you get UPS
if you pick Egg Saver, then you get what you get
this isn't complicated
