I was about to buy 3 of a monitor from newegg and when my page refreshed today... the price went up by 130 dollars on that single monitor. is that normal?
Yes and no. It's not unusual for Newegg to adjust prices based on supply or manufacturer incentives; whether $130 is unusual or not largely depends on the normal price of the monitor though.
Was it on sale?
A link to the product might make more sense, a $100 jump isn't particularly normal. Of course, if it's a $1200 monitor it's not that major, but if it's a $200 -> $330 monitor that's a rather more significant change.

So here is my question guys..... I have 2 nvidia GTX 580's. that means I have 2 display ports and 4 Dual link connections. I can't get 3 S27A750D's @ 120hz because I am one connection short. But.... what I can do is get 2 of the 750D's... and one of the 950D's. They all have the same exact panel. The problem though is the 750D's are slightly shorter so I would need to boost them up slightly somehow by putting something underneath the stand. In addition one other thing is the bezel on the 750D's... I think it is slightly bigger than the 950D's so I don't know if I like that.
The reason of course is right now at newegg the 750 D's are 550 whereas the 950's are 730.
