Newegg/Kingston Rebate question

I was looking at something that I hadn't even noticed it had a rebate, then I noticed it did in fact have a nice size rebate which makes it a good deal I think...however, on the rebate form it says:

"Did you include the original sales receipt or a copy of the original sales receipt?
Order confirmation emails and/or packing slips will not be accepted as proof of
purchase."

So...when I ordered from Newegg before I did not recall getting anything other than a printable order confirmation and an emailed copy of it, and then there was the thing that came with the item itself which I presume to be the packing slip. So, what do you give them? Is this a catch 22 you can't win?

I have not bought the item, I just figured I should ask first.

You can't use the emailed invoice nor the packing slip. You have to log in to your Newegg account and look up the invoice by going to "order history," click on the invoice number, then click on the "print" button. A new window will open up with a printable invoice. Print the first page of that invoice (unless you have a ton of items on it) because the second page is only the remaining fine print at the bottom.

but from what i remember it wasnt available until they sent you an email (and i thought it had a link in the email to the page to print it out)

You can't do the rebate ahead of time so no need to have the invoice before receiving the product. I've always had the invoice available to print out at Newegg.com by the time I get the product and am ready to mail in the rebate.

Note that products are not returnable for refund once rebate has been mailed out. At that point you only have the manufacturer's warranty as recourse. Thus, you may not want to send in the rebate (or even cut out the UPC) until you are sure the item is not DOA and it really is what you want.

EDIT: Just checked. Something I ordered this morning from Newegg has shipped (got the emails). I checked on their site and the official invoice is available for printing out.
