I know this isn't exactly a general hardware topic but the general hardware crew I'm sure can appreciate it alot more than the folks who just nef all day in off topic....

Any ways. I ordered a stick of 512MB Kingmax PC4000 on Monday night and was hopping it was going to ship on tuesday as I was hoping to get it before the weekend. So I check this morning and it hadn't shipped out Tuesday night!!! oh noes!!!! I was thinking well if they ship from NJ it can easily make it to me by friday if it ships today ( I live in VT) VT to Cali is far... and wouldn't make it. So anyways I check to tonight and see it IS comming from Cali which ussually takes 4 days... so it won't get to me by Tuesday had they shipped it fedex saver. Then I look at when they estimate it will arrive and it says the 6th? how could that be? VT to Cali ussually takes 4 days though sometimes 3 which would still be monday. Puzzled I look how they shipped it. It said 2 day shipping!!! HOLY COW!!! I would expect them to upgrade my shipping if I chose the rush order thing maybe but not regularly!!! THANK YOU so much Newegg you deserve a  Newegg just plain rocks I don't know any other e tailer that would do that.. ussually they could give a crap about getting something to a customer before the weekend... Newegg just plain rocks!!!!

I had an experience like that, ordered a bunch of parts and my shipping got delayed a day and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to put this system together over the weekend like I had hoped to do. Anyway, one call to Newegg and they upped my shipping to Next Day Air and boom, problem solved!

My experiences with newegg havent been nearly as good. They've sent two item to a wrong address. I've received 3 bad items from them. The first order I made took I left for 4 days without them doing anything. I cancel the order after I cancel they charge my debit and then refund it delaying me doing anything about my planned new rig for a few more days. The second time I made my rig order they still took a really long time and didn't clear the order till I called them and bugged them about it. The only good thing I had was they upgraded an rma due to being out of stock but they sent it to the wrong address and blamed it on me even. I couldn't disput it and wasn't 100% sure so let slide since it was going to my college so I could get it in 2 months. The second time I rmad something they did it again this time I was 100% sure it was there fault. They tell me they fix it but don't bother so my video card (asus 9800 xt) and mobo (chaintech znf3-250) end up at my college. I ordered an asus k8n-e from them it comes without any sealing and without a sealed static bag and the back plate that is suposed to be glued on wasn't. I set the board up and it ends up being doa.

Problems with NewEgg seem to be rare. I've had over 30 orders with them, and they all came through without a hitch, and usually came earlier than I expected.

I also have to give Props to FedEx. They simply blow UPS and USPS out of the water. DHL is pretty good, but FedEx is the best courier service available. And they're free with NewEgg.

In my experience (over 20 orders w/ Newegg) their Fedex Saver Shipping is always 2 days, maybe a 1/4 of the time 3 days, never more.

I've had great experiences with Newegg. I just got an order today that was sent in three different boxes. Two showed up today, and all three weren't supposed to show up till tomorrow. Even though it was just a big pack of CDrs and a USB cable, it was packed really, really well. I wonder if the packing peanuts cost more than what I ordered, lol. Great prices, great shipping. Rock on Newegg!

My experience with newegg has been lukewarm. Two orders well over $500 each ended up taking a week to arrive shipped via ground rate. Then I have recieved opened "NEW" hardware which had to be returned for replacement at no cost to myself though. I have also had one stick of ram which was bad and they still charged me restocking fee even though I explained it was BAD RAM. IMO newegg isnt all that but is just okay.

I've ordered over $25,000 worth of product from Newegg over the span of 3 years. Each time I call to get a restock fee waived they always accomodate me, even when I tell them I flat out didn't need the item or changed my mind. I've had to RMA several items, and when they are defective a replacement is promptly shipped out. Otherwise a credit is promptly issued to my CC.

Occasionally I will order item(s) from another e-tailer, but if Newegg has it in stock for a few bucks more I'll order from them simply because of the outstanding customer service after the sale.

After having 15 or so wonderful transactions with newegg, I was surprised to find out how poorly they responded when I had a problem that was clearly their fault (they shipped the wrong thing). I am a bit chilled nowadays, especially as I see them adjusting their product line again and again to where they are looking a lot like Amazon with fedex.
