Agreed :) Shentech also has some decent prices but there have been mixed reviews.

Haven't heard of SVC myself, but the last two I did business with and are good, heard TCWO is pretty good too.

neweggs prices are starting to raise, but for service and product selection, they are hard to beat.

Dell has some pretty good deals if you're willing to wait.

Sometimes they ship out right away and sometimes they take up to 2 weeks. But when they have their stackable coupons, etc...the deals are hard to beat.

But isn't paying alittle extra worth knowing you have a good return policy from newegg incase something or wrong with it or something happens ? Plus knowing that it will be shipped pretty fast and in good packaging so the chances of something going wrong are pretty slim mostly.

newbiepcuser are these like coupons you are talking about like mail in rebates or are they like instant rebates ? Plus how long does it take to get the mail in rebates if they are that?

Newegg has some of the most reasonable prices and shipping, along with good service which makes them still the place to buy hardware online.

Newegg is a great place to shop from..
Shipping is great, and their return policy is also awsome.

Man, I remember when Onvia was the best place to shop... when they stopped their free shipping that's when newegg surfaced as the new winner. =)

I've only seen mail in rebates for their Dell systems, it took my buddy 2 months before he got his 100 rebates. Coupons are usually posted on their site, an instant 15% or 10% there. Plus sometimes they throw in free shipping.

Examples: some of the deals I've got on
80 GB WD speacial edition: $102 shipped.
40X CDR Lite-on Burner-$42 shipped
16X Lite-on DVD rom -$31 shipped
80GB Seagate Barracuda IV $82 shipped.
48X CDR Retail Plextor Burner for $101 shipped.

Deals I've seen on the Hot Deals forum $
69.00 for 80GB WD SE drive after rebate, etc..

You always need to check techbargains dot com, chubby wallet dot com and bensbargains dot net. After a while when you start ordering stuff from Dell, they send you e-mail coupons etc..... Good luck.

Newegg's RMA is great. I had a bad cpu, a bad modem, a bad cpu fan (which killed my CPU), and a bad memory stick all bought from newegg (all in the last month or so). I never had so many products shipped to me DOA before :(. All my RMA attempts have been successful though.

I see that you live in LA.

If you want to skip on shipping, and do a will call order. mwave.com is a great place to buy computer hardware. They charge $5 per will call order with prices competitive to newegg. Their site even looks like newegg:confused: Takes about 1 hour to process online/phone orders so it can be ready to be picked up.

servercase.com has free will call. And the best customer service. Mostly cases and server stuff though.

newegg is awesome, they can be a bit more expensive but I've never had a hassle returning stuff.

I only order from Newegg.com
I have ordered at Googlegear in the past too, but overall
Newegg has had the overall lowest prices and best availabilty
of the two. Plus, New Egg ships very quickly....

I've had very good luck with mwave.com.
I bought a barebones system about 8 months ago, and they delivered as promised. Last week I bought a WD 120GB jumbo buffer HD, and the drive was delivered even before the shipping tracking # was emailed to me.
Prices seem quite reasonable.

Well hell... guess I just got lucky... been keeping Newegg in business lately! ;-) Always check there and gander at pricewatch.com and see who's coming in at a lower price... have ordered some smokin' deals from a few 'off' companies and done well, but Newegg is still the deal......
