Newegg is pi$$ing me off really bad

Guys,

Newegg is about to piss me off for good. I've been waiting for either of the ASUS v9999 6800 Ultra to come in stock and Newegg had originally listed something like 12/5/04 as the ETA. Well what they do is as soon as it gets to that day they just tack about another 4 days on to the ETA.

I gave them a call and called BS and told them they were pulling dates out of their asses but they said they went by when the manufacturer had told them they would recieve them.

Has anyone else noticed this? It is pretty damn annoying that is for sure! Feels like they are just stringing me along. Guess i'm going to have to buy an eVGA instead

ETA is a guess, even on the MFG's word that will never provide an accurate guess.. It's common marketing...
 
They have no control over when the MFG actualy ships to them, if Asus is delaying the shipping due to lack of parts, newegg can't exactly do anything about it...

And it wasn't accurate at all! I know it has been 4 weeks since it said ETA on there. That isn't even close. They should just leave the ETA off there since they actually have no idea.

It's possible they simply asked their supplier "When are you getting those cards in?" And they said "Should be December 5th." And so Newegg puts that there. So something beyond Newegg's control has happened to the supply. The best they can do is to relay the information from their suppliers.
And I'm sure that if they didn't list an ETA, then there'd be plenty of people complaining about that.
In the past, I've found their ETA's to be fairly accurate, but then I've not tried to order anthing that's had supply issues, like these latest high-end videocards.
 
Get the EVGA....Shipped 425/550 and runs like a little champ after upgrading to the new bios, old bios was teh sux0rs. Pretty sure any you find now willl have the latest BIOS installed
 
If its available elsewhere, get it elsewhere. ETA dates are provided as a courtesy, and usually aren't in their control.

If its not available elsewhere, get a life and wait til it hits the market.

I am pissed as well...I orded some stuff very early this morning and expected it to get shipped today since everything was in stock. Nope.

Monarch computer on the other had shipped my stuff out via 2 day air when I paid for 3 day air.
