for people with only 1 pcie x16 slot or those using a micro atx board it's a good deal. i built a cheap gaming machine for a friend's kid with an asrock that only had 1 pcie x16 slot. i put a gtx 465 in there, but this is a nice card to drop in there. plus it just looks damn cool!

Same built a rig for a friend a few months back, has 1 PCIe x16 slot and isnt SLI certified (mATX too) he is looking to upgrade from a single GTX 460, i said you can get a bigger Motherboard (AM3) for $80+ and get a second GTX 460 for not too much or the EVGA 2win and he really wants this card... i am personally trying to persuade him to get a single 570 but he really likes the idea of 3 monitors.

I support this idea.

New EVGA 460CSFTW-Charlie Sheen For the Winning Edition...."It's like your card is on crack-cocaine!"

It has to have a white PCB and be the "banging 7G rox edition".

I would like it more if it were 2GB of vram per GPU.

I say MEGA FAIL!

They cant justify this price even if it did quad SLI. Its to big to be of any use to anyone with a single PCI-E anyway...this thing needs to be 350$ to sell. Thats a fair price considering the R&D plus extra parts cost. And even if it were just a half inch shorter that would have helped too...

4850x2 was a non-reference dual GPU board as well, and was about this long. Same length as the 6990 or so.

i was always intrigued by the 4850x2. it was priced pretty nicely compared to the 4870x2. offered really nice performance for the buck. i never really noticed them until the 4800 series was almost on it's way out though.
