Newegg has proved to be a very good company!

Hi,

I had a upper level person from Newegg contact me earlier this week in response to my comment asking if Newegg had changed its rma policy and my lowering my review to some extent and bitching and complaining about what happened.

I should not have panicked and taken word of one person so fast, and would have done better to have endeavored to talk to someone more senior is my take.

Newegg has not changed its RMA policy, the supervisor I dealt with made a mistake in not knowing how much he could do for customers and has been instructed he can do more.

I was given store credits and free over night shipping on an order I eventually placed today, so given some time to reflect.. I really think Newegg takes having a good name seriously.

I like Newegg and I plan to continue to do business with them.

That's why we reach for the pitchforks, torches and lynchin' rope when someone bad-mouths them 🙂

Glad it's cleared up now, as we'd expect with Newegg.

I've had one shipping problem in 5 years of orders (Fedex's fault not theirs) which they took care of, and one RMA that went much more smoothly than yours.

Based on how they've handled my problems I'll only order elsewhere if there is a huge price difference or if it's some part they don't stock.

Agreed. About five or six years ago, they sent me a "whisper quiet" Antec True330 that sounded like an airliner on takeoff. They took the RMA, but were going to simply credit my card cuz they were "OOS" (they apparently had a bad pallet of these or something). The guy I got a hold of understood my plight of needing a PSU right away, sent me an Enermax, no shipping, and reversed my shipping charge on the first PSU.

So I keep looking there first when I shop for new components...

Funny...that Enermax flashed and burned just last week...ah, memories...

quick quiction :who handles the rebates. newegg or samsung (the manufacturer) ?

🙂
IMO Newegg is AOK for you folks. Alas, we in Hawaii can't get the deals you do, because of the unbelieveable shipping costs.
As I said before, Mwave is my store of choice because of their shipping to Hawaii is reasonable.

I found this link for LL PC-7B +
and their shipping to Hawaii by USPS Priority is around $28. Quite reasonable for online shipping to Maui.

I just hope NewEgg can see it clear to offer something similar. I've always recommended Newegg for continental buyers.

I RMAd my first Abit IS7 Socket478 mobo to them and they had no stock left. So I had to get a different mobo. I asked if I could get a credit upon completion of the RMA so I could place an order for the next equivelant mobo (asus p4p800). They said "we don't offer any form of store credit". Basically I had to wait for funds to be credited back to my debit account before I could order again. So I don't know how they offered you a form of store credit.

Agreed!! Getting a huge something greatly reduced is one thing....
going to a differnt company becuase you can get it 50cents cheaper is not worth the headaches if you need to return it!!

NewEgg roxs!

My first mobo from Newegg was an ECS K7S5A with a flaky IDE2... got an RMA, free overnight, and reimbursed for shipping, and a waived restocking fee. Mind you, this was years ago, and I don't think they charge restocking fees on exchanges anymore. But since that one experience, I've shopped pretty much exclusively at the Egg.

I just wish they still had cheap fedex, because I am not fond of UPS 🙁

Never had a problem with them. Ordered about 3-4x in the past and the shipping is always lightning fast. Makes Amazon.com look slow as molasses...
