Yeah, it's the third, it's OOS and it's a SOYO rebate (only one step above a Tiger rebate) and it takes two submissions to get with each asking for an original UPC. This is cold now.

It is back in stock now. Just got my auto notify from NewEgg. This time though it has a $5.00 shipping cost added. As far as the conflicts in the rebate terms and conditions this is the text from a reply to an inquiry to Soyo;

Dear xxx,

Thank you for purchasing SOYO product.
Please submit the mail in rebates together in the same envelope with the UPC code and the receipt. We need the original UPC Code, and the receipt may be original, or copy. The UPC code should be outside of the box and starts with 660475, except CX-5959 it starts with 654862..

Please feel free to contact us if there are further questions.

Best Regards,

Rebate Department,
SOYO Inc.

For anyone thinking of doing this deal - READ THE FINE PRINT on the rebate forms. It will take 12 to 14 weeks from the POSTMARK DATE to receive your rebates. The postmark date on this deal is 10/26/2004, so it will be February 2005 when you see your money.

If you can't wait that long, don't do this deal.

Is this mobo any good? Would there be any advantage to replacing my current Intel D865GBF with this mobo?

Many of us have already waited well over 14 weeks for Soyo rebates from this spring. I'm up to 16 weeks and counting.

thump, did you check your status (verifyrebate.com) or email support?

as for that board I read it's pretty stable but doesn't overclock for jack. that's ok though.

Anyone wonder if all of these (numerous, from what I've seen) rebates from SOYO, are an indication that they are having financial difficulties, and need the "float" from the (longer-than-average turnaround time) rebates, to stay afloat? The pervasiveness of them has me worried. I could use a FAR Socket478 mobo though, to go with this PIV chip that someone gave me. I don't even know if it works or not, but it was pulled from a working system. Are there any more detailed pros and cons about this particular board?

I don't know if I will ever see that rebate, but I sure hope so.
The downside is, I don't have a cpu available to test the board so that vital 30 days may just get past me.
