wow, I now have the current, old, and bet neweggs all open.

On the oldversion, I miss the fact that you could access Order Status and other handy things right from the front page without having to go into your account.

I think the beta is teh poop.

They are clear, just have to make sure you enlarge them in your browser, (the browser is resizing a whole desktop into the window).

I already used the $20 one to get me a new $5 CD-RW drive to match my DVD-RW drive.

Most current dvd burners also burn cds.:disgust:

I for one wouldn't mine to beable to burn a cd and a dvd at once. :disgust:

mine to beable? :p

Just received an e-mail from Newegg to try out their new beta site which I immediately did. Much to do about nothing. Different format but same old information. Personally I prefer their present site to this new one. Also, last time they updated their site they also raised their prices and increased shipping costs on many items. Is this new site promotion another excuse to price a little higher? Personally don't care what they do; they don't have the best deals anymore.

I wish I could share it, but the site can only be viewed by those that received the e-mail (only 200 users out of 2+ million). I like it better than the current site, but it will take some getting used to for those that visit daily and purchase often. BTW, they gave me a $20 promo code in the e-mail and another $30 code for a 5min. survey.

Finally got that email today. Whoopie.

They still have some of the best deals. I think chiefvalue has some that are better at times, but aren't they owned by newegg? Their inventory is the same. When one item goes out of stock on newegg, it goes out of stock on chiefvalue. I will continue to newegg because they have excellent customer service and very competitive prices. I might try zipzoomfly or some other's but I'll continue to make most of my purchases at the egg.

I got that e-mail today. I just realized if you didn't get an e-mail previously like I did, you can only access the site for 48hrs. I'll still be able to login, but you won't. If you don't like the new site at first, give it some time. I've been using it for several weeks now and I'm used to it.

Oh and, one area that's immensely better IMHO is the account section, viewing past invoices, stuff like that. More organized and nicer.

does anyone else think the new site sucks - now they have product headings like:MUSHKIN 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) System Memory
Thet used to put the type like " Mushkin L2 V2 PC3200( 2 x 512MB)" or "Corsair Value Select" or "Corsair XMS"
But now if you want the product name you have to search the brand name and product number
THIS SUCKS!
