NewEgg.com - To buy or not to buy?

It seems like most people here buy from NewEgg.com and speak very highly of it (low prices, etc).

My question is, is there anything wrong with the company and why you would not recommend buying from them?

What I am most concerned with is how they handle returns and RMA's. I heard that some people got used hardware (obsious signs of wear and tear, etc). I also heard people say that sometimes it takes them a week to send a product that is in stock.

Can you guys post your experiences with this company, especially if you recieved a DOA product?

They handle their RMA's excellently and are an excellent company since it's the only place most of the Americans on this board buy from
 
Scouzer, do you speak from experience, i.e. have you ever had to RMA something to them? Did you get your money back or an exchange promptly?

I wish. I'm Canadian so I don't get your guy's great deals from there, but MANY people on this board love this place, and I've yet to hear an RMA gone wrong, only gone right. I'm sure a person with expirence will comment here soon.
 
1.They are good about RMA.
2.They sell opened retail package

I had to RMA 2 times because they kept sending me faulty items. I think twice before ordering from them again.
 
I've been buying from mail-order companies for a few years, but now I'm afraid to order because of all the bad things I read on Reseller Ratings... Hmm.
 
I have ordered from them on three different occassions without any problems. I have not needed to RMA anything yet (knocking on wood) and hope I won't need to. Another company I have had good experiences with is multiwave.

I've ordered ton's of stuff from them without any hick-ups...very good experience for me. what else can i say...GOOD place and there prices are alwas competitive (also) i like there shipping prices.

I had to RMA a mobo I fried (didn't tell them it was my fault though), and they sent out the new mobo the same day they received my return. They sent it through their standard FedEx Express Saver shipping, and I got it in 2 days (I live across the country)...
 
Great place. I bought lots of parts for my rigs, and have nearly single-sitedly built 2 customers pc's from newegg. Great site, great rma system!
 
I had to RMA once, I live on the east coast, and the turnaround was seven days!!! In seven days, I had working item in my hands. Not bad!
 
Ok, I think I will buy from them after all, but if something goes wrong I will sue them and y'all too! 🙂
 
I just recieved a DOA product (Iwil kk266). All I did was call them up, told them I wanted another one, and they issued an RMA. They wanted me to pay for shipping, and I bitched so I got if for free. Will let you know how long it takes them to get me my new board.
 
I built my new system with most of the parts from NewEgg - cpu, memory, motherboard - and received them within four days, all in good working order.

With their low prices and fast shipping, I'd buy from them again anytime...
 
I have RMA's two mobos and a video card with absolutely no problem. They are a wonderful company to deal with.
 
Over 20 orders from them I live in CA so my stuff get to me in 2 or 3 days never had a problem.

Asides from their shipping costs, new egg is excellent. They hve great customer service and its easy to RMA something if you have problems. I deffinitely recomend them. You might find cheaper deals on certain items at other sites, but overall newegg has the cheapest stuff for almost anything.

Check out z-Buy.com They are great as well. Shipping is free on most items and no tax what so ever. I ordered from them a few days ago and they ship their items right away.
 
Perhaps this could be the thread where we post our positive and negative shopping experiences with NewEgg.com.

for RMA I have no idea since stuffs I've bought from them is working perfectly.
Otherwise they shipped their stuffs quite fast and on-time.
