Newegg.com - BFG 7600GT for $79 after MIR with PayPal payment!

To bad the rebate form states only one per person/household. Otherwise it would make a decent little SLI set-up....

That is a great price for the card. I jsut stuck one in my work rig and am amazed with the performance.

The rebate only covers up to $20 in shipping charges as I understand from reading around the web.

Ah, I was under the impression it was similar to Google Checkout. Regardless, I will be getting this!

7600GT offers a lot of bang for the buck. I would recomment spending $20 for an Arctic Cooling Silencer 6, which keeps the card running cool and completely silent.

I agree on the Arctic Coolings NV Silencer 6. Very cool and very quiet! 🙂

the way the paypal thing works is it covers whatever your shipping cost is up to $20. i ordered a new laser printer and my shipping charge was $1.xx for it 😉

Darn, hard pick between this $80 7600GT deal and the $130 7900GS deal.

Funny, the search function didn't find the 7900GS thread with 'GS' or '7900'.

The search on these forums is horrible.

Verified that it works with the 7600GT? Any mods needed? I have one for the 7800GT on a 7900GT with the tip cut off (NV Silencer 5?).

This is a great deal, unfortunately I just bought a 7600GS for $50.

I'd rather not deal with rebates, so I'll give you $65 shipped on that 7600GS. 🙂 Shouldn't cost $15 to ship, so the bit you make can go towards the 7600GT.

one of the buyer comments is that "dont worry about the rebate - you wont get it"

and, putting on silencer will void lifetime warranty, but 80 bucks WTH

Terrific price. Although I just bought the Foxconn 7600gt for $105. Happy though b/c it clocks to 640 and 1.58. Missed it by a few days. Bummer.

I picked up an XFX 7600GT XXX from buy.com for $119.95AR, not as good as this deal, but the card I got came with 1.1ns GDDR3 and is running at 695 / 1800 with stock cooling. I think I'll keep it 😉

I'd keep it too. I just got a BFG7600GT and it has 1.4ns memory and wont go over 1.5GHz and it won't clock over 610MHz core. Not a bad card otherwise. Stuck a Zalman cooler on it for quiet but I'm a bit disappointed in it's oveclockability.

Can anybody tell me if this is worth the $80 as an upgrade over an MSI 6800 256MB? Hard to find any comparisons with a plain old 6800 at this point. Every comparison is with a 6800 Ultra or something.

Tom's

Dunno if your card is in here...there are some 6800 Ultras and a 6800GT...probably in the same neighborhood.

BTW: The free shipping with PAYPAL seems to be over...coupon code did not work

I can't seem to overclock at all using Coolbits. Even when I underclock it a little, it still says it failed at those settings. 😕
