Just a heads up for those peeps that shop at Newegg and rely on review/comment/ratings that are posted for each product. Came across this article @overclockers.com "NewEgg.com does not publish unflattering user reviews".
Many of you have shopped at Newegg.com. This reseller lets you rate products.
Someone bought a CompactFlash card which didn't work with his camera. He posted a negative comment about that, and found that it did not post.
Turns out that Newegg.com doesn't generally post negative comments.

I haven't had any bad experiences with Newegg at all, so I don't really care what reviews they post.

I think the reaction to something like this should be... DUH! Of course, they will not publish negative reviews of products they are selling! For a fair review, go surf the Internet, that's what it is for. If you trust reviews on the seller's website, it's your own problem when you get burned... IMHO.

I agree with MrCodeDude... I have always had good service... just know what you want to buy and do your research

Why the heck would you do your research at the place SELLING THE PRODUCT??

That's like going to a Ford dealer and asking them which is better, Ford or Chevy?

They are hands down the best seller I have dealt with over the past 5 years. Let them do what they will.

I've known about this problem for some time. They should have some disclaimer stating that only positive reviews are posted.

Amazon posts reviews of poorly-received products so it isn't the industry standard to filter out the detracting comments.

They got rid of one of my reviews (that was totally valid). I personally don't find all good reviews of any use. I want to see the bad ones not the good ones.

Maybe this really is a valid problem, but I really find it difficult to blame newegg for this. I mean... Shouldn't people know what they're getting? They don't hide the specs of the products they're selling. If buyers' are going to rely so heavily on anonymous reviews to make purchase decisions, then... well, more power to them, but I think that's silly.
