page 1 of the newegg homepage has got some limited time deals again.

Seems like the canon SD450 camera is a decent deal at $299
the patriot memory also looks pretty good... anyone have experience with that brand?
66 bucks after rebate for a gig of memory is pretty sweet

FTW

Patriot = good.

How sure can I be that the patriot ram will work with my AK77-600N motherboard? At the AOpen webpage it doesnt list it as one of the tested modules so I'm kinda in the dark....

it should work, after all its just standard DDr ram, they prob dont have time to test every ram out there and patriot is not a huge name

Canon SD450 for $299 is awasome deal! free shipping too!

Cheaper than Dell with 20% coupon and $35 off (since most people has to pay tax).

Patriot is a great company. Their TCCD series memory is on par with OCZ and Crucial.

How would this memory pair with a set of 2x512 OCZ Plat. rev 2 DDR400's? I want to upgrade to 2 GB, and this seems like a bargain.

Some motherboards have a problem supporting 4 slots of DS memory.

You may want to check out some of the technical forums to see if your board may have a problem.

Other than that, I don't see why your existing pair wouldn't work with these.

<Sigh>. Now I have to figure out if running 4 x 512 double-sided sticks on a Socket 939 nForce4 board with a Vernice, San Diego, or Opteron is a good thing to do.

Is 4 x 512 at 2T better tahn 2 x 512 at 1T for gaming?

I don't find the Patriot memory and the Canon camera is sold out.

@Whipper - I read that some games will use the extra RAM (e.g. BF2) and some won't (FEAR). I've seen a comprehensive thread somewhere at AT comparing 1T vs. 2T performance in games.

Ram is now OOS, but still has rebate. Miss one deal, wait for a better one.

Patriot is Fry's sort of house brand too isn't it, maybe nice frys day sale coming up tomorrow.

Plus a five year warranty on those... I'm running 4 of the 160gb version in RAID 0+1 and its still nearly silent too. (The Seagates drives)
