NewEgg Came Through

Just thought I'd share my latest positive experience with NewEgg. About a month ago I ordered two open box graphics cards, intending to give one as a gift. Me being the genius I am didn't test the second one until a few days ago and I found it was DOA. I didn't have the option to do an online RMA of course, because open box items have a 15 day return period.

I contacted the NewEggSupport guy who frequents AT, William Lazaro, and he very graciously approved an RMA for the card, and even offered free expedited shipping if I ordered a replacement card through NewEgg so the gift would arrive sooner.

:thumbsup: to NewEgg, my $ will be going back there!
 
newegg sent me a hentai dvd with my video card, even though i didn't check off any of the free gift boxes.

ZZF doesn't give you "free shipping", they give you "shipping factored into the base price".

Anyways, yeah, you've always got to check out the refurbs right away. Back in January I too bought a refurb item because I now know the manufacturer stopped producing new products, and also stopped warranty support on them. Item arrived non functional, and I was busy that month, thought I had 30 days to return it, and logged onto Neweggs site on the 17th day - too late. The NeweggSupport user here help me get a return on the item. Good guys. Side note, I see no ZZFSupport user on these forums. :evil:

Yeah I've heard horror stories about ZZF's RMA process. I used to use them when they had "free" 2-day Fedex, but since they've gone to ground I'm much less inclined to chance it on them. A few extra bucks at NewEgg for Fedex sounds like a deal to me
 
I've done business with NewEgg for several years, and have NEVER had anything bad to say about their service...They ALWAYS come thru for me...

My CS experiences with Newegg have always been good, and my CS experiences with ZZF have always been bad, but until Newegg offers sanely priced shipping (USPS Priority) or a flat add-on fee to Hawaii like ZZF does, then I'll have to check ZZF first. 🙁

sometimes ZZF is cheaper than NE, even w/ free shipping.

i usually search newegg, then head over to ZZF to check free shipping prices.
 
damn, I just had a thought, Newegg should do an Amazon prime like deal, sign up for $50 and you get free or cheap shipping... (obviously I want them to beat amazon, ecause I haven't signed up for prime becase it's ridiculous).
