I think he meant the hard drive.
Yep, HD=Hard Drive.

It's still a pretty good deal even for OEM.

Was thinking about getting the Rally2, until i found that most places say its nurfed compared to the original Rally and buggy with Vista Readyboost.

Why did you post this? The web really doesn't need any more mis-informers than there already is. Do your homework before posting.....

To whom does the five-year warranty apply?

The five-year warranty applies to all customers who purchase drives either directly through Seagate (distributors), or through the Authorized Distribution channel. This includes Channel SIs, System Builders, Retail customers, and Bare drive customers who purchase through Distributors. There will be no changes to our OEM/System Manufacturer agreements that purchase product directly from Seagate.

A lot of the reviews on newegg say this is a loud drive, can anyone comment on this? Is there a review somwhere which addresses how loud it is?
Thanks!

I picked up 2 of the hard drives this morning. Can't beat $80 off.

I picked up the 250gb version a few weeks ago for my gf. I had read reviews about it being loud before I bought it, but I can't hear it over the system fans. So I'm hoping for the same turnout with these.

Great deal... now I have to decide between that one or the 500GB Western Digital HD for $154.99 after rebate at PC Club:

http://www.pcclub.com/events/blackfriday/

Theirs is after rebate and only during a limited time, but I don't have to pay shipping by going to their store and I like Western Digital better.

The NewEgg one doesn't have any rebates so that's cool too, but I like to have a store to easily return a bad drive if needed to.

The reviews saying it's noisy concern me. I hope the 320GB SATA Seagate I have here waiting to be installed isn't...
