7900X3D is one CPU I'd skip personally even at that price.

7950X3D for $499 however would have been a great deal! (thus it's sold out)

For gaming the 7800X3d is a vastly better choice for your $ and often beats out the 7950 .... essentially the 7900 becomes a 6-core in 3d mode and is actually slower due the core/cache layout. (productivity/media however it has a slight edge)

Having said that my 5800x (non 3D) has yet to disappoint and with HP to spare lol .... I'll be waiting for Zen 6 myself. :)

IIRC from some headline, the 7800X3D is close to $300 in China. Global pricing isn't uniform but that suggests we haven't seen the pricing bottom yet. Not sure exactly what AMD is doing except competing, which is great. Alongside the CPU price cuts, they've had to deal with Nvidia SUPER. I haven't read any benchmarks but the RX 7900 GRE seems like a good addition to the game.

Right behind 7800X3D at no.8 is Ryzen 3600 with ONE MILLION samples tested!

13900K is here but no 7950X3D and no 7900X3D, meaning price sensitive gamers don't care about those two. They would rather pay for 13900K. This should tell AMD that there is no point in wasting V-cache on anything other than 7800X3D and maybe a 7600X3D.

Friends don't let friends go to loserbenchmark, so please stop before we have to stage an intervention. :p For anyone unfamiliar with what a joke that site is, r/PCMR has a bot that responds to posts about them -

You seem to be linking to or recommending the use of UserBenchMark for benchmarking or comparing hardware. Please know that they have been at the center of drama due to accusations of being biased towards certain brands, using outdated or nonsensical means to score products, as well as several other things that you should know. You can learn more about this by seeing what other members of the PCMR have been discussing lately. Please strongly consider taking their information with a grain of salt and certainly do not use it as a say-all about component performance. If you're looking for benchmark results and software, we can recommend the use of tools such as Cinebench R20 for CPU performance and 3DMark's TimeSpy (a free demo is available on Steam, click "Download Demo" in the right bar), for easy system performance comparison.

Back to the hot deal - Great price for that level of gaming and productivity. Makes me wonder if it is going to make Zen 5 look bad in the street pricing section of reviews. I surmise it will. It's almost like they price new stuff to clear out older stuff every gen. With the rare sales hit like the 7800X3D and RX 7800XT.
