Heh I was thinking the same thing. I'm itching for a 6870, but it makes more sense to have the second 460 to SLI or put in my LAN rig.
 
And FYI to anyone looking to make a decision, my EVGA GTX 460 1GB "vanillia" edition (1370 model designation w/fan in the middle) easily reaches 850 mhz clock speed without even a voltage bump.
 
~225 shipped for the 6870 or ~160 for a 6850 or 1gb 460

not bad at all.

the 6870 is tempting, if my mobo did SLI or Xfire I would be getting 2 460s or 6850s
 
Scored a GTX 460 1GB for $183 shipped and $163 After Rebate...and EVGA still sends checks! Woot.
 
The 10% off was too tempting to pass up for me, sprung on a new 6870. Now I just need to get rid of this 5770 lol.

I believe they are all the reference design at this point. The differences are purely aesthetic. ASUS has the cleanest look IMO (and becuase of that I assume its sold out). XFX has the double lifetime warranty, and a little bit different exhaust fan, which is the reason it costs more.

Otherwise I would go Sapphire, HIS or GB, in that order.

They wouldn't help me on the card I bought 2 days ago. They have some pretty craptacular shipping these days, so I think I'll look at other places to shop.

I placed an order on 10/29 for a 460 FTW, and just did the live chat. I didn't get the full 10% off, but what they offered was close enough.
