Over the past summer I built a system with a A64 3200 newcasle, s754. I have a zalman 7000Al/cu cooler on it. I never ran prime95 before because I never saw any high cpu temps. While updating steam, which likes to max my cpu when updating, I noticed my temps hitting 59C, with core center. I thought this is high so I used nview monitor and ran prime95, my temp eventually rose to 57C and stayed there, although core center said 61C. I have read of others having trouble with core center so I will not depend on that. Is 57C high? Nview says I idle at 37C and my case temp is around 33C with the Antec thermistors on a P160 case. I used AS5 when installing but I believe I might have used a little too much.

Also, what speed is this fan suppose to turn at, I get 2600 under full load. Another problem is Nview jumps between 33 and 37C while core center jumps between 37 and 41 at idle. Is the temp sensor on the MB just bad? I have a K8N neo platinum. Everything is at stock speeds.

Wowsers, I have the same board and same CPU. I'll check out the temps when I get back home, at work now :(
I have a Thermaltake HSF on there (dunno what make) and the fan usually runs a little below 2000. When the temps rise tho, it kicks up and sounds like a jet taking of :Q
