I am sure this has come up before. Can I use a USB 2.0 cable with 1.1 ports? Are there any differences?

yes u can use it. USB 1.1 and 2.0 are all backward compatible. I think USB 2.0 cables are better shielded to prevent data corruption and ensure integrity. U can use USB 1.1 cable on USB2 port and still transfer at USB 2 speed.
