Just built my first pc. This pc is meant to be a secondary pc, so I built the cheapest one possible. Right now, I have it overclocked to 2.13GHZ, and I'd need help overclocking it further. Temps are 30-32 at idle or light load, 34-37 at full load. This is with the CPU Cooler set at low, 1500 RPM. I was unable to find the setting to increase the CPU Voltage, so if anyone knows how to, that would be a great help. Configuration is as follows:

Antec Sonata
ECS KT600-A
Sempron 2800+
Arctic-Cooling Copper Silent 2L @1500 RPM (Low Setting)
Hitachi 12X DVD-ROM
64MB DDR ATI Radeon 7000
512MB Kingston DDR400 PC3200 ValueRam
Maxtor 40GB ATA/133 7200RPM HDD

This pc cost me a total of $225-$240. I "stole" the DVD-ROM, HDD, and Video Card from an old pc. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

If the ECS allows for voltage changes then it would be in the bios somewhere. Otherwise you have a nice secondary system. May want to bump the memory depending on what apps you're running.

Did you already have a case, too? If not how'd you keep the price below $300?

sempron 2800 = $100
mobo= $50
ram = $75
heatsink = $20

total = $245 without a case...

I bought all the parts at the parts except the case at the Fry's After Christmas sale. Case I got for $59.99 after $30 mail-in rebate from Fry's earlier last week. I posted that deal in the Hot Deals section. Heatsink was given to me as a gift. But here are the prices for the rest of the parts:

Sempron 2800+ and M/B: $100
Ram: $49.99 after $30 mail-in rebate

wow, great deal on that sempron+mobo! I was just curious, since I just built one with a sempron 2400 and shuttle AN35 ultra for a little more than what you paid for your setup. (counting the salvaged parts)
