As you can see in my sig I need more RAM and a better 3D card to run the latest games.
My cpu is still fast enough though I might need a new HD too.

I wanto get a single 256k stick of DDRam as it costs little more than pc100 ram which is
all my cpu will take but I can use it when I upgrade.
Will I fit a single 256k stick of DDR on my mobo? I want a single stick as I heard it OCs better.

specs: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/products/ga6bxc.htm
review:http://www.hardwarezone.com/reviews/mb/ga-6xbc/ga-6bxc.htm

How can I run the DDR at pc133 speed? This is my cpu: http://www.thetechzone.com/reviews/cpu/p3_450.htm

For a video card I want something old and cheap like TNT2 Ultra or some sort of GF2 MX until I upgrade when I will prolly get a GF4 4200.
I know nothing about vid cards( I hadnt heard of AMD,geforce and I thought cpu was short for computer) so can someone who really knows vidcards well tell me which suits my cpu. It seems those are as high as I can go without bottlenecking a newer card. All things being equal, Ill take the one with better TVout and other stuff rather than take the extra few % gaming performance.

I have found a good price on a GF4 mx440 so I may go that route when I upgrade cpu but would like informed opinion on the old cards above.
Thanks!

The motherboard you have have is based on a BX chipset (from intel) and doesn't support DDR ram. If you want to increase the amount of ram you can add a a single 256Mb dimm of ram (pc-133).

Depending on how long you will keep this system before you upgrade again a geforce 2mx400 (or similar video card) will increase you gaming requirments dramaticaly. :)

If you think P3-450 is fast enough, try AMD XP 1800+ on my machine.
Nope, your system is not compatible with DDRAM. You can get only PC100 or PC133 memory to upgrade. You might want to look at KINGSTON VALUERAM 128MB PC133 SDRAM being sold at $36 at www.newegg.com
As for video card, this is my recommendation: ATI OEM RADEON 7000 32MB SDR NO TV OUT BULK, sold at newegg at $35.

Seriously, you need to save up and buy a brand new machine with 2.00+ GHz CPU to play games.

I know my mobo wont run DDR as DDR but will it still work ok as SDR?
Thing is Im upgrading fairly soon so Ill get DDR even tho its unsupported aslong as
it works on my mbo(even if it works as pc100)
If when u say unsupported u mean just that and it will not work at all, I apologise for my
noobish ignorance :p

If it wont support DDR at all then Ill go ahed with my full system upgrade(P4 1.6A etc) rather than buying SDR.

ddr has 184pins and sdram has 168pins and the "gaps" in interface-part-thingie are in different place. so it wont even fit in your motherboard.
