newbie to ipod, quick question

Want the ability to listen to many of my mp3s in the car, which has an AUX jack. I am going to get a used Ipod Nano 8gb for this purpose. So where's the line-out cable I need to get? Don't see it at the apple ipod accessories store. Does a place like monoprice have it? Is it a universal type of cable? Links would help - thanks.

appreciate it... I don't have the nano in front of me... I thought it was a 3.5mm minijack connector on that end too... or can you use the headphone jack as well?

There are two ways to do it, one is to use the headphone jack, so you would need a 3.5mm-3.5mm cable, you can find them anywhere.

Second, and the better option, is to use the dock connector on the bottom. That gives you true LineOut and therefore better quality.

I have the 10W USB power adapter that comes with the iPad. Does this also charge the Nano if I plug in its USB? I checked apple's site and it doesn't list it as compatible, just iphone4 & ipads.

I've shorted other things when using the wrong AC Adapter so I am wary of trying this.

I have used that adapter to charge my phone, shouldn't be an issue.
