hey

i have an antec sonata case i need to fill, what do i need it for? Business, 1st person/rts Games, mp3/video conversion.

so far have got:

a radeon 9700pro
antec sonata case (380watt power supply).
sb live
2 * 160mb wd

...i want to spend about 200 on a pentium processor (what would you guys suggest?)

i want the motherboard to be VERY reliable, and also the RAM. My only good experiences have been with Asus and Abit, but that was years ago, so things have changed I'm sure. I want the m/b to have intergrated firewire/usb2/ethernet.

So if I can get some recommendations on the m/b , cpu, ram that'd be awesome. I have no interest in overclocking, as this has to be stable and reliable.

All comments appreciated!!

Cheers

I second the 2.4C, its only $180 at newegg, so you have an extra $20 for the RAM. For overclocking grab an abit IC7-G or regular IC7. I've had good experiances with both. Ram, Kingston HYPER-X or Geil PC3500 Ultra Platinum would be fine, get 2x256megs, it will be like $120.
