Newbie Server question

I am trying to learn how to start a BF1942 server, and I was given a login and a pass. I was given info for an ssh1 login.
 
Use ssh2, ssh1 is borked. And I use putty when I am on a Windows machine. f-secure was alright, ssh.com's client shouldn't be bad, vandyke's client never gave me troubles, and someone else's gave me no headaches, although I forgot which client that was...
