newbie qxn: caller id shows up on one phone but not another?

Sorry for the newbie question and I didn't want to wait on hold for 30mins. for the answer ... so there's the thing.

When I call friend#1, she can see my name on her phone but when I call friend#2, my name does not show up. All 3 phones are with ATT. Friend#2 and I have the same fone ...

any help? TIA!

does friend 2 have caller id?

and friend #2 has your name in her address book with your phone number that you are calling from? sometimes, you may have to enter the area code also before your number in her address book.

all friends including myself have caller id ... and we have each other on the address book.

but with the area code before the phone number in the address book?? have you tried that?

edit: btw, if that doesnt do the trick, i'd prolly go back to the store or kiosk you got the phones from or call AT&T Customer Service. (thats if these are indeed cell phones, i dont know if thats been mentioned)
