I am currently running windows xp pro and have 3 formated hard drives...will linux be able to read the two hard drives that do not have the operating system if I end up installing a version of it?

and which linux os is most similar to the looks and feel of windows but is for athlon 64 cpu?
decent game perfomance wouldn't be bad either since this is my home computer
