Newbie Question

While there are socket 775 boards paired up with what normally are 478 chipsets, I know of no adapters that can transform a 478 chip into 775 or vise versa. The boards with 775 sockets and a 865 chipset aren't too common and aren't considered an "overclocking" board by any means.

Thanks for the quick replies. I guess i am going to look for a socket 478 to make use of my p4.

I would go the other way. You can buy a cpu for $50 that will beat that P4, so get a 775 mobo and cpu.
