Hi there

This tv-out is nothing I have been doing alot in lately (ever).

My grafic card has tv-out and DVI out. Th½e tv-out is done via a s-video plug. My tv set also have a s-video connector. I need a 10 meter/approx 35 feet cable to do this. Is it doable??

Second question: How do I get sound?? Is it a cable from the sound card or??

Cheers

For the sound you need a cable that converts the 1/8" plug on your sound card to the dual RCA connection your TV will have. Radio Shack should have them.

Just what I thought.

Question: Some people I know also tried to pull a 35 feet cable to the sound from the computer, only to find a loud deep humming noise when the sound was turned up on the TV set. You could bearly hear the real sound. Is that a well know problem when pulling cables over that distance or?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, no idea. The audio cable that came with my Pure 3D is only a few feet long so I've never had to worry about length.

Snoopy Dog The deep humming comes from a grounding loop and not from a too long cable (sorry, my EE skills are in german and I sometimes don't know the right words in english).

To get rid of the hum isolate the grund prong on the PCs power cable (it works but not really a long term sollution)
