I have two boxen, one which has VectorLinux (slackware based) on it and the other Slackware 9.0. The box with vectorlinux nothing starts up automatically. On each of the boxes I want NFS and Samba running as servers and clients for each other. I know i have to edit the /etc/exports files on each box but where do the programs go and how do i set up the scripts?

Samba: I have everything installed I just cant seem to get the samba daemons to start up on startup. Where is a good example of a startup script and where do I put it? --this problem is more or less to particular to the Vector Linux box.

I have the same question for sshd, how on earth do i get it to start up? I know the process is similar to

Thanks everyone
