newbie question on cpu cooling

Hey guys,

I have a simple question, is the cpu fan suppose to suck cold outside air in or suck hot air out?

My cpu fan didnt come with manual and im not sure which direction im suppose to direct the air.

your case fans are the ones that suck hot air out and take in cold air from outside. your cpu fan is the one that blows onto the heatsink itself.
