Newbie question - How can I tell Athlon processor type

Hi, I just bought online a boxed athlon which is supposed to be a thunderbird. The box doesn't say thunderbird, so how can I tell if I got one or the older "classic" athlon? Thanks for any help.

Also, if its Socket A, its a TBird. If its slot A, then check the size of the cache.
