Newbie Question - Chassis Fans.

Do all mobos have connectors for the chassis fan? If they don't then do the fans connect to the PSU?

When using multiple chassis fans, can you use a Y-cord from the mobo connector to handle them? Or does it only support one fan?


Specifically - the Epox 8RDA+ nForce2 mobo.

Most of the recent motherboards do have at least one connector for a chassis fan.

However, I wouldn't recommend connecting multiple fans on a single connector or fans that draw larger amounts of current. The motherboard isn't designed to carry that great a load over that connector. It would be better to connect directly to one the molex connecters on your PSU.
