Newbie question about P4's

Does the Pentium 4 processor require the same degree of cooling as the Thunderbird? Does it generate much heat or could you get away with just a heat sink w/o a fan? If it does require a hsf what hsf's are the best out for the P4? Could someone post a link to some pictures so I could get an idea of how the setup looks?

Sorry for the newb questions but I haven't messed with any Intel processors since my dual P2 system.

You do need an HSF for the Pentium 4, but probably not on the scale of what a lot of people tend to use for Thunderbird processors. The heat that the Pentium 4 produces is somewhat less than an Athlon, but you still need to use a fan.

The retail HSF that comes with the processor is fine for most situations.
