I am building my first system and I would like to purchase 2 256 MB of DDR Ram PC 2100 off crucial.com . However, on the website, there are so many types of this ram with varying parities, buffer specifications, etc. I am clueless! Is this the type of RAM I am looking for? Thanks...

Also, the free shipping offer ends today...I am planning to build my computer starting August 1st...Do you think I should order now or wait til later.. Thanks again..

It depends on what motherboard you have (plan to get), but in 90% of the cases, that's the stuff you want. Oh yeah, one of my friends ordered two nights ago: apparently, they're getting so many orders for RAM, that you will still get free shipping, but not 2nd day air.

I just bought that motherboard and I bought those same two clips of RAM for it. You are correct, pull the trigger!

That's the one that most people are using for DDR boards. I don't really like the ASUS board because of its high price, but if that's the one you are sold on, that RAM should do you great.

I ordered mine Sunday, it was shipped out today 2nd day air. Although the free 2nd day air does end TODAY.
