Isn't all cases suppose to come with a system speaker and speaker wiring to the motherboard, because the recent refurb case I brought doesnt seem to have one (I know, u get what u pay for). Can someone explain to me what exactly does the system speaker do and if its essential to the comp. All the other wirings (i.e harddrive, power) seem to be there and I tested the PSU and it works fine.

The best current use for a case speaker is to supply beep information when a system fails to boot. Sometimes a e-mail program may beep throught the system speaker to announce new mail. Other than that a case speaker is virtually useless.
