Hi there,
I am in the process of putting together my new computer. I purchased the chieftec case off of Newegg a while ago and it did not come with a psu. I bought an Antec Tru Power 330 and I have it in the case now. I dont wanna screw things up so is the way I have it installed the correct way? It looks up side down. The only way the screw holes would match the case is if the fan on the psu (inside the case) is on the bottom. Is this the right way? The power cord will be coming
out the bottom left...the switch on the top left..The external fan on the right.. Any help is appreciated
Thanks

If that's the only way it fits, I don't see a problem.
The important thing is that the intake for the psu fan is unabstructed and is able to draw air out of the case.

shadow82,

That should be the correct method. Most PSU's have either one or two fans. In the latter case a fan will face towards the motherboard and draw heat off the components below it as the heat rises.

I believe the intake should be on the bottom to draw air in (and away from the CPU, helping with overall system cooling), which sounds like how you have it, shadow82 (and some PSUs may have a second intake on a side), and the exhaust should be in the back. When you say the external fan is "on the right", do you mean when looking at the open case from the side, with the case front on the right? That would mean the external fan is inside the case, which isn't right. Maybe it's not upside down but it does need to be flipped the other way.
