Newbie overclocking question...

I just got a T-bird 700Mhz with Asus A7V mobo, and thought I would try overclocking for the first time...

To my understanding, my current setting is 7*100 =700Mhz

Now I am thinking about simply raising the BUS speed to 133 to get 933Mhz (7*133), and also raising the voltage a bit...

Does this look like a good plan? If so how much should I increase the voltage?

BTW, I have normal PC133 RAM...

A bit more info:

My system is current running at the normal 1.75V
current CPU temp is at ~54C

It's a good plan, however for several reason it won't work. You're using a ASUS A7V with the Via KT133 chipset. Unlike the new KT133A chipset, yours cannot go higher than an FSB of about 110. After that it gets unstable, won't boot etc.
Another thing which might prevent you from a 33% overclock is the tempereature, 54°C is already near the limit for overclocking, so you better get some more cooling if you really want to overclock.

You are exactly right... I just did some testing, and the highest FSB setting I can go with the system stable is 111Mhz...

However can I clock the CPU higher by changing the Frequency Multiple? I know I will have to unlock the CPU before changing it, but how far can I go? 8.5?

Not sure about your mobo, but it should be able to set the multiplier to at least 10. But definitely deal with your cooling issues before you do anything else. Your cpu is running pretty hot. 129F
