Comp stats:
Cpu: AMD ATHLON XP 2200+
Mobo: Asus A7N8X deluxe
Ram: 512mb
current FSB: 133mhz
multiplier: 13.5x

-----------------------

i wanna start overclocking the cpu, somewhere around 2.2ghz is my goal. If i change the fsb to 166 i'd achieve it, is that a wise choice or is there another/safer way of reaching that goal. Any suggestions are welcome 😀

Well if you could post ur id of the CPU it would help. But in the mean time What type of ram is it? And what is it rated @?

But as for overclocking just take It @ 50 MHZ increasments....

yeah, post the cpu ID #. and take the FSB higher. if the fails to boot, clear the CMOS from your mobo and bump the voltage up a notch and take it from there

Nah - just do it. As long as you keep it within safe limits, just try whatever. You can always trip the BIOS later.

😀
