Newbie overclocking an amd64

Here are my specs.

Asus K8V Deluxe
AMD64 3200+
2 - Kingston 512MB 400mhz ddr (non-ecc) in slots 1 & 3 CAS 3
Thermaltake Venus Series cooler A1838 Silent Boost
2 - Serial ATA, WD raptor 36.7 (raid 0)
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
Thermaltake case with more fans than you can shake a stick at.
Latest Bios Revision: 1.0.0.6 (This seems to make a big difference)

First of all, just to say that I wish I could go back and pick out a better quality memory, but on the other hand it never givin me a problem. I hope this thermaltake cpu fan will do the job as well.

This is what I got so far setup.

Memory CLK: 5:3 (333mhz)
CAS Latency: 2.5
No other memory settings changed. There are many settings that I don't know about so I didn't bother. In fact I don't know much except for what I've picked up along the way, so point out anything wrong please.

CPU FSB Frequency: (Default is 200) I have this set to 225
voltage: 1.625

I have reached a speed of 2.25ghz stable. With the original bios version I could only get 2050mhz stable. I mean stable as I ran an entire 3D mark03 and play BF1942-Desert Combat for a while, which no problem. At 2.25ghz at idle was at about 42 and at max so far I've seen about 52 maybe one or two degrees high.

I haven't tried any higher settings. I have not seen anything unstable yet, but I don't want to continue until others with more knowledge has seen what I've done

Looks good to me. Don't expect to get much higher because your motherboard doesn't have an AGP\PCI lock. My A64 only gets up to 220 "FSB."

I get cpu get to about 54 degrees when cpu is running 100percent although the room is kinda warm. Is that too hot for this cpu. I see it to be border line to being comfortable.

That's fine, most CPUs can take 65C+ without a problem.
