Just now I've installed ubuntu. But i can't access other NTFS partitions. There are my mp3 and vdo files and softwares. How can I access them?

Another problem is I can't increase my screen resolutation. It stays in 61 Hz .. I can't increase :( ... any help?

@postmortemIA: That's totally unnecessary. If you need to tell someone to RTFM, you can at least do it nicely.

@OP: I don't have Ubuntu on a dual-boot machine to check, but this looks to be pretty good. I'm sure there will be other Ubuntu users around before too long to help.

As for the monitor, I think you're confusing resolution (like 1024x768) with refresh rate (like 61 Hz). Which one are you talking about and where are you getting the information?

NTFS partitions should show up. I can access mine easily. If you know what drive it's on (/dev/hdax), you can always use the "mount" command, but it should mount by default...

I think the screen resolution is gonna be a xorg.conf edit, but be careful.

cleverhandle posted a link that'll help you be able to mount your windows partition. Look specifically under what says, "How to mount Windows partitions (NTFS) on boot-up, and allow all users to read only".
