Hi All, nothing but a little gratuitus horn-blowing here, and even though it's no biggie to most, to me it is a big success as my first succesful OC, so I just wanted to share a little.

Initial System Stats:
Athlon 900
ABIT KT7-R Mobo @100mhz FSB

After failing to unlock my L1 Bridges, I gave it another crack (Isopropyl Alcohol WILL remove Defroster-Grid Repair compound incidentally :)).

Currently running at 10.5 x 100 mhz, but I know it will run stable at 107 mhz x 10, so I'm going to try the 107x10.5 Combo.

All this at a chilly 27C, as reported by HWMonitor. Although I doubt it is especially accurate, it is no noticeably higher at idle then the initial 100x9.

Have posted a few times before for advice, and read many threads, and would like to say thanks to all those who have taken the time to read, post and offer help and advice to me in the past.

All the best for the holiday season,
Hayle

Heheh a better question is is the Wallet ready for it? ;)

Looks like 1070 is hte limit on my Mobo/CPU combo. With a multi of 10.5, it doesn't like to boot Windows past 100 mhz, although it handles 107 mhz @ 10 Multi just fine.. *shrug*

Oh well, I'm pretty happy at 1070. I was able to get it to 1082 by using a 10.5 x 103 mhz combo, but got intermiitent lock-ups in windows. Not worth the 12 mhz, as it seems to run just fine at 1070 :)

Hi, I am MoFunk and I am an overclock-a-holic. Turn around and run the other way if you want to live. Overclocking is worse than crack! Soon it will consume your life and you will find yourself selling things in your house to fund your addiction. The addistion for 1 or 2 extra MHZ on the FSB! Run now my friend!

Seriously congrats on the OC. I look ack fondly at mine. But now that I am thousands of dollars in debt because of it, I hate it! LOL

Agreed MoFunk...tht's why I stopped O/Cing. I've stopped !!. I didn't even visit AT forum for a while...to kick tht addiction...until now...but I've lost the appetite for O/Cing. I've own 2 system tht hv the components for O/Cing prowess...but I just stopped. :frown:
