Hopefully you can understand my question - here goes!
At home we have a wired network going. What I am looking to do is be able to access some files on my computer from my work laptop while I am at home. When I plug the laptop into the router I can get on line just fine - but I am not sure how I can get access to the shared files on my home network.
I thought I would have to change the network setting in the workgroup to what I have it set on my home network but by doing so I can no longer login to my laptop *sigh, helpdesk will love me tomorrow... ugh) It had something in the Domain Name and then it was empty in the Workgroup. So I changed the workgroup to the home setting and rebooted.
Since that doesnt seem to be working - is there anything I can do to access this stuff over my home network?
