Newbie Needs Help W/ Networking

I currently have PacBell DSL, with 1.5down and 256 up, the basic plan. Is there any way I can set up two computers using my DSL line without upgrading to the other plan? Thats what the represenative told me. I am pretty good with computers but when it comes to networking I am a total newb.
