I was messing around with the BIOS in my old PIII comp the other day, and after I saved the settings, it wouldnt restart. My friend told me to find the jumper switch or something and reset the BIOS. Problem is, I have no idea where to look. I lost the CD with the user manual on it, and I dont know what model it is (My dad's friend built it for us). The motherboard is aN AOpen VIA PIII motherboard with 3 RAM slots (SDRAM I think), 4 PCI slots, something that looks like PCI-E 1x but isnt, and I think an AGP slot. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Find out your mobo's exact codename (usually printed on the mobo itself),

then visit the AOpen website, search for that motherboard, and then download the mobo's pdf manual.

It'll show you where the CMOS reset button is.

Hmmm... I found the manual and the place on the mobo to reset the CMOS, but its really small. All I see are 2 strips with orange on them. It says to "short 2 and 3". Wtf I'm really confused now, am I supposed to prod them with my fingers?

You should see a jumper (a tiny plastic cap that covers two pins)

The jumper usually cover pin1 and pin2

Usually to clear the CMOS:

1) turn off your computer completely (unplug the power cord)

2) remove the onboard (mobo) battery.

3) move the jumper cap from pins 1-2 to pins 2-3

4) keep the jumper cap on pins 2-3 for about 10 seconds

5) then move the jumper cap back to pins 1-2

6) re-install the mobo battery

7) plug the power cord and turn on your PC

8) hold down the "delete" key during the boot process and enter BIOS setup to reconfigure it.

This is a general guide only, so until you're sure, mull over it first
